Garden Eye Candy

One of the things I love about this month is how everything is brown one minute--then seemingly overnight perennials just pop up through the garden soil.

Trees sprout green leaves, and flowering bushes are suddenly  full of buds getting ready to burst open.

I am dying to get out and get my hands in the dirt!

But I'm swamped getting things ready for Lucketts, and keeping my booth stocked.

If I don't focus on painting furniture, there is no way I'll be ready in time for the Spring Market

And while it's a good thing that big things are selling in my booth, I wasn't planning on having to restock it with furniture right now.

So I have to make due with day-dreaming about gardening.

And what better way to do that than with beautiful pictures?

These gardens are lovelier than anything I'll ever have.

Spring Eye Candy

It's been one of those weeks, and the view outside my window is about as grey and bleak as my attitude.  This time of year it can be hard to remember that spring is just around the corner.  So for a 'tude turn-around I decided to share some spring eye candy.

These first photos are early spring shots taken in our front area.  At first there is a lot of white and pink, then the blues, corals and purples come in a bit later.

Next are some inspirational photos.  I'm always a sucker for cottage gardens ...

Love this photo-- for some reason it reminds me of the Wizard of Oz.

My favorite -- hydrangea. Madonna doesn't know what she's missing!

Pretty, huh?

Actually, these photos have inspired me--since the weather is going to be pretty moderate this weekend, I'm going to get off my duff and go plant some bulbs!

If you haven't entered the giveaway for Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic Inspirations yet, you still have time -- the drawing is Tuesday!
