Ho Ho Huh?

Sorry I've been a bit MIA lately.  We've had a couple of issues, work has been nuts, and I'm frantically trying to get everything done in time before our son gets home on leave.  To be honest, the house is a wreck, the packages haven't been mailed yet (but at least as of tonight everything is wrapped, boxed, labeled and ready to go the post office tomorrow!), and I'm putting the finishing touches on the tree.  When I look around at what everyone else in blog land has accomplished by now, I feel like a holiday failure!

The cookies may end up coming from the bakery this  year, but everything will get done!  I'll be posting photos of our tree in the next day or so, and a holiday "open house" later in the week, so stay tuned!

  1. Take a big breath, and decide what you can leave "undone". Cookies from the cookies are just fine. Enjoy the time with your family, happy holidays, Laura

  2. take a deep breath- relax. and enjoy. the holidays are about friendship, love, and giving.... it doesn't matter if your gifts arrive a few days late. it really doesn't. i have a friend panicking that her package here won't arrive on time, and i know she is thinking of me and sending it my way and that is all that matters- that she cared enough to think of me.

  3. i am sure you are not alone....i stress out with all the "stuff" that needs doing too...and although the other blogs are beautiful, so what? you can only do what time permits. there were many times that our tree never got trimmed until christmas eve (and then, it stayed up until valentine's day?

christmas is all about spending time with family and those you love....everything else will take care of itself. may your christmas be beautiful, meaningful, and bright.....may you get enough rest so that you may think clearly and re-fortify....and may you really enjoy the love that surrounds you......see you in the new year....xxxx

  4. B-r-e-a-t-h-e ~ deeply and often. It doesn't matter if all the "stuff" doesn't get done, it's being with family that counts and honoring the reason for the season. I have a ton of things I wanted to do and no, they didn't get done. It's ok!
